Our January meeting was the first of many to come! We met in a home setting and worked on individual, yet corporate vision boards. We fellowshipped around the Word and food! <\/strong>Look at the samples of the vision boards that were birthed that night! <\/strong><\/h1>\n

Merry Christmas from the South Hill Aglow Community Lighthouse! We gathered at Wilson’s Seafood and Barbeque and enjoyed fellowship and a delicious buffet! Our special guest, Debby Waufle, gave a prophetic Word that reverberated throughout our community! Enjoy the many well wishes from the guests who assembled for this uplifting celebration!<\/p>\n

The South Hill Aglow Community Lighthouse was invited to fellowship with the Appomattox Aglow Community Lighthouse on August 9th! Rachel delivered a word based on their theme, “In the heat of it”. The hospitality was incredible and the food was delicious. Thank you Rose Wheeler and your team for the invitation!<\/p>\n

Lisa Clary’s Post<\/h2>\nA very productive Unity in Community meeting. Thanks to those who came with thoughts, ideas and great services for our collaborative effort to put the resources out into the community for those in need. We are still planning our big community event in September and will be meeting again to finalize plans and add some new things. We will also be adding to the directory and links to facebook pages. Treena White, the Angel Tree Prison Ministry coordinator, collaborated with Rachel Brown, president of the SHACL, to make sure each family involved would receive a ham with their full holiday meal bags! The South Hill Aglow Community Lighthouse looks for ways to collaborate with ministries, organizations and individuals to\u00a0Rebuild, Restore<\/i>, and\u00a0Renew<\/i>\u00a0our community!<\/b><\/p>\n

Our first collaborative “Unity in Community Resources Roundtable” was a huge success in that many services connected in new ways!<\/figcaption>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t\t\t\n\t

Several individuals, organizations, nonprofits, agencies, and ministries were in attendance at our first UNITY IN COMMUNITY RESOURCES ROUNDTABLE!\u00a0<\/p>\n

We had the opportunity to learn more about what is already available as services for our community. It is our hope to expand this vision, which was birthed by Amber Thomas, President of the South Hill Bread Box.<\/p>\n\t

This intimate setting began with a full-blown breakfast followed by worship by Ms. Hikiera Franklin!<\/p>\n

The panel discussion was open, frank, and sometimes “raw”. Each woman or young lady in attendance had the opportunity to meet in small groups and share their questions and struggles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We all had a time of prayer under the leadership of Minister Corrine Walker at the end while “soaking” music was played by Rachel Brown.<\/p>\n

You don’t want to miss the next opportunity to meet intimately with fellow women of God.<\/p>\n

This year’s Unity in Community Fundraising Gala recipient was ARMS OF FAITH, a ministry dedicated to help parents\/families impacted by having a baby in a NICU!<\/p>\n

Samantha and Reggie Newell shared their pain that became passion for others! We interviewed them in March and hosted the gala in April!<\/p>\n

We believe that the Name of Jesus is above every other name (sickness, disease, dysfunction….) and as we exalt Him as WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, and PRINCE OF PEACE, our grief, pain, and sorrows will turn into rejoicing!<\/strong>\nIsaiah 9:6-7 is our anchor scripture as we remember Who we honor during this Advent Season.<\/strong>\nJoin us! The 4th Unity in Community Prayer Focus<\/strong> was a testimonial of God’s Provision and Purpose!<\/p>\n

Over 80 participants joined together to pray and agree on issues that included the war in Israel, our youth and school systems, sickness, disease, and mental\/emotional health, poverty and lack, domestic violence, substance abuse, human trafficking, spiritual and civic leadership, and most importantly: salvation of souls!\u00a0<\/p>\n

We wove three cords together to symbolize our unity and strength! Our final and ultimate act of unity was to partake of Communion together.<\/p>\n

Special thanks to everyone who worked together to make this happen. All the glory goes to Father God who strategically orchestrated every detail! (Go to our Photo Gallery to see photos of the leaders and collages of the moments!)<\/strong><\/p>\n

In spite of the hurricane impacted rains that poured on the day of this event, we met and experienced God’s outpouring of love and refreshment in our spirits! Minister Cynthia Chambers gave us an impactful experience in God’s Presence as we soaked! \n\t\t\tThe Gathering at the Gates\t<\/h2>\n\t

On Friday our Gathering At The Gates began with members of the PRAYVA team along with a few South Hill Aglow Community Lighthouse members meeting at New Life Ministries for fellowship, worship, prayer, and communion administered by Pastor Edward Lee.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, an “army” of intercessors met at Big Fork to open our first Gate! Pastor Joey Hanel led us in a prayer of repentance after which Pastor Anthony Dagner led us in Communion. Other prophetic acts were conducted decreeing UNITY to be henceforth seen and produced there. We then went to Mecklenburg County High School to plant God’s Word under the leadership of Paul Nichols, then superintendent of Mecklenburg County Public Schools, who prayed for PROSPERITY. Pastor Edward Lee also gave words of confirmation and affirmation along with others who sensed the move of God’s Wind. Our final Gate was at Kerr Lake where Army Corps of Engineers Park Ranger Richard Brown spoke and prayed for God’s TRUTH to flow. Salt, oil anointed by ministers across the state of Virginia, water from another part of Virginia and Communion elements anointed the lake.<\/p>\n

It was a powerful time of prayer, fellowship, and unity as approximately 30 people rallied together to open the Gates of UNITY, PROPERITY, AND TRUTH in our area!<\/p>\n

Unity was truly pleasant to behold at this year’s Unity in Community Fundraising Gala<\/strong> for The Ark<\/strong>!
